He was predeceased by: his parents, Sui Foloiano and Anaise Leihulu Tonata; and his brother Sione Moeaki. He is survived by: his wife Tisina Fakatoumafi; his children, Sione Tonata, Ana Justice Fakatoumafi, Maui Walter Tonata, Sui Fololiano Tonata and Tevita Tauakipulu Tonata; and his siblings, Etuatina Havili, Seini Vatuvei and Maui Tuakiapimahu.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Nelson Family Mortuary (4780 N University Ave, Provo, UT 84604). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Orem 10th Ward (1146 W 1450 S, Orem, UT 84058). A burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery (500 N Main St, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062).
