It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katheryn Sorenson Hyatt (Richfield, Utah), who passed away on August 8, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey G. Sorenson and Leola Gillespie Sorenson; and her grandmother Matilda Gillespie. She is survived by: her siblings, Ila Dean, Erma and Perry; her niece Vicki; her husband Melvin K. Hyatt; and her children, Kim Miller (Jon) of Henderson, NV, Anette Walker (Ben), Darren Hyatt (Karen) of Round Rock, TX, Scott (Holly), Matt (Kelly) and Chris.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, August 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Richfield 9th Ward Building (159 N 400 W, Richfield, UT 84701).
