He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis G. Poorte and Vera L. Hogge Poorte; his brother Keith; his nephew Jeremy; and his niece Mitzi.
He is survived by: his former wife Martha Hayes; his wife Tonya; his children, Crystal Page (Brad), Caralee Dibben (Clint), Amy Martin, Seth Poorte, Aubri Moss (Travis Schaefer) and Kayla Dean (Andrew); and his siblings, Paul (Deanna), Lee Poorte (Judy) and LaRue Collard. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
