He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Fleet" Nielsen and Laurel Torgersen Nielsen; his siblings, Udell Nielsen and NoraMay Jessen; and his great grandchild Grayson Pliler.
He is survived by: his wife Janette Ann Farnsworth; his grandchildren, Preston, Samantha and Mallory-Jo; and his children, Sona Lynn Asay (Scott), Monica Rae Cheshire (Randy), RakellLee Nielsen, Stacey Ann Nielsen, Danylle Jackee Pliler (Joseph), Preston Joseph Farnsworth Nielsen, Samantha Ann Nielsen and Mallory-Jo Orion Nielsen. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
