He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Johanson and Henrietta Samuels Johanson; his wife JoAnn Alexander; his children, LeeAnn Jett (Jim), David (Jennifer), Laurin Hubbard (David), Linda Buchanan (Clair), Scott (Leanne) and Joseph (Cathy); and his sister Loretta Oliver. He was also cherished by children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to a charity of their choice.
