He was predeceased by: his son Michael; and his grandmother Virginia. He is survived by: his parents, Leon Ellsworth Downing and Martha Lavern Davis; his spouse Diane; his children, Phillip, Curtis, Craig (Kathy) and Lori; and his stepsons, Andrew Covington (Tina) and Billy Covington (Jennifer).
