He is survived by: his wife Melva Slack; his children, Florin Ned (LaNette), Russell Lynn Alan Kerry (Wendy), Cristal Robbins (Jeff) and Kevin Martin (Brenda); and his brother Eugene Owens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Fund.
