He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rown Sather and Bonnie Lee Ross Sather; his brother Randy Sather; and his brother-in-law Charles Barker. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Mills (Tim), Valerie Johnson, Sandra, Sammy Brogna, Rodney Anglesey (Wendy), Natalie Bay (Trent) and Angela Hawkins (Travis). He is also survived by seven grand-children and six great grand-children.
