She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilford Edison Denney and Catherine Denney (Smith); her child Val Don Clayton Ashdown; her husband Richard Allen Dean; and her siblings, Alzada, Catherine of Virginia, Maxine Renee and Edison LaMar.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Ann Dean, Dennis Wayne Murphy, Sandra Lin Dean (late Donald LeRoy DeNoon), Stacy Desa Dean (Gary Lee Gardner) and Richard Allen Dean (Tammy Renee Coats). She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. George Animal Shelter.
