He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Allan Cornaby and Fern Cornaby; his wife Sharlene; his sister Margene Tweedie; and his children, Chad (Lynette), Chet (Tricia), Tony (Christy), Julie Hansen (Bert) and Camille Avenius (Dave). He was also cherished by 24 grandchildren.
