We are sad to announce that on July 24, 2025, at the age of 81, Drew Matthew Petersen Jr. (Salt Lake City, Utah) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Drew M. Petersen, Sr. and Ruth Ellen Moore Petersen; and his brother Dean. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Ann Petersen; his daughters, Lisa Jamu (Styn), Heather Leavitt (Nate), Heidi Petersen, Mikaele Sansone (Daniel), Megan Bryant (Mitsuo) and Brigitta Erickson (Drew); his grandchildren, Ian, Isabella, Alexander, Abigail, Quinn, Tomeki, Takeo, Cooper and Lincoln; his siblings, Don (Andy), Dale (Dottie) and Natasha Brunson (Joe); and his sister-in-law Kate Petersen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A vigil service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Cathedral of the Madeleine (331 E S Temple St, Salt Lake City, UT 84111). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (275 U St, Salt Lake City, UT 84103).
