She was predeceased by: her significant other Rodger David Kasteler; her children, Jennifer Swinyard Kasteler and David Roger Kasteler; and her parents, Ewart Ainslie Swinyard and Grace Chatterton Parkinson.
She is survived by: her children, Lynda Jensen (Christian) and Jeffrey (Jodie); her daughter-in-law Lisa; and her son Michael "Mika" Lee (Luse). She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Emma Lou was born on July 9, 1937, to Ewart Ainslie Swinyard and Grace Chatterton Parkinson in Logan, Utah.
