We bid farewell to Joel Reed Nelson (Salt Lake City, Utah), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 28, 2025 at the age of 68. Joel Reed touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Yeates and Reed Stender Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Sue Blomquist; his children, Mary Bevan (Spencer), Julie Webb (Scott), John Nelson (Kirsten) and Emily Holmstead (Eric); his grandchildren, Rose, James, Jack, Penny, Fern and Lars; and his siblings, Ron Nelson (Margaret), Deborah Nelson and Claudia Watson (Brent).
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at 8:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, at 10:45 AM and at 12:00 PM at the Larkin Sunset Gardens (1950 E Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, UT 84092).
