Though John Eliot has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Violet McCormick and Eliot Young Gates. He is survived by: his significant other Christena Maria Olson; his sister Stephanie Howell; and also, Richard Gates (Cecily), Ann Weaver (Rob), Stephen Gates (Alexis) and Danny Gates (Julia). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
