He was predeceased by: his wife Sofia O. Chavez; his parents, Santiago and Adriana; and his brothers, Pete and Donald.

He is survived by: his sister Teresa Manzanares (Richard); his daughters, Beverly Sciortino (Mike), Dorothy Smith (Rick) and Irma Sine (Ron); and his grandchildren, Angie Smith (Tim), Beckett Sine (Rebecca), David Sciortino, Alissa Mayo (Chase) and Andrea Sullivan (Brad). He is also survived by 9 Great-Grandchildren and 8 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
