He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Heinz Eckardt and Irmgard Eckardt; his siblings, Ronald and Heidi Gardner; his nieces, Brenda Hutchinson and Robyn Mendenhall (Michael); his nephew Nelson Gardner (Jill); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Daniel Hutchinson, Austin Mendenhall, Lincoln Mendenhall, Dillon Kener, Tessa Gardner, Jackson Gardner, Micah Gardner and Stockton Gardner.
