He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Barbara Smith, Essie and L. A. Coffelt. He is survived by: his mother Sheila Smith; his significant other Zizi; his son Sebastian Troy Smith; his father Don Smith of Rock Springs; his sister Samantha Smith; his niece Aubriey Smith (Zizi Reuter); his aunts and uncles, Rob Smith, Terry, Krista Coffelt and Belinda Coffelt; and his cousins, Tara, Sarah, Whitney, Nic, Justin, Tessa, Annette, Cody, Chery Leigh, Josh and Ryan.
In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe has been set up in Korey's honor to help with his memorial and Bash's future.
