We are sad to announce that on September 18, 2025, at the age of 95, Leona May Nesi of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hammerschmid and Katherine Hammerschmid; her husband Sam J. Nesi; her daughter Linda Polanshek; her grandson Stephen Polanshek; and her siblings, Willis, Catherine, Jerry, Jackie and Carol.
She is survived by: her children, Sam (Patti), Mike and Carol Ann Baker (Scott); her granddaughter Tina Kavros (Mike); and her nieces, Catherine Hyde and Ellen Colonno.
Viewing was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Et Saint Olaf Catholic Church (1800 S Orch Dr, Bountiful, UT 84010). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Et Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery (275 U St, Salt Lake City, UT 84103).
