She was predeceased by: her parents, David Stephen Thomas and Minnie Ashton Thomas; and her siblings, David Stephen Thomas, Jr. and Peggy Thomas Layton. She is survived by: her significant other Cyrus Otto Nielsen, Jr.; her children, Mark (Brenda Devitt), Amy (Richard Hogan), Lori (Paul Driggs), Eric (Robyn Radford) and Debbie Peery Nielsen; her adoptive daughter Marilyn Kidd; and her granddaughter Kate. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren.
