We bid farewell to Ramon Cardenas Sr. of Salt Lake City, Utah, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 26, 2025 at the age of 92. Ramon touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Ramon leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Ramon may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his mother Rosa Cardenas. He is survived by: his wife Liliana Cardenas; his daughter Lucy Cardenas (Bill Coker); his granddaughter Zara Cardenas; his goddaughter Gladys Duenas; and his brothers, Raudel, Eduardo, Amador and Salazar (Mexico).
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Cathedral of the Madeleine (331 E S Temple St, Salt Lake City, UT 84111). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the State Capitol Rotunda (350 N State St, Lindon, UT 84042).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made in Ramon's name to the Rose Park Neighborhood Center & Good Samaritan Foundation.
