He is survived by: his children, Michael Brooks of York, Pennsylvania, Ian Brooks (Mary) of Baltimore, Maryland and Kristin van Brunt (Jeff) of Salt Lake; and his foster daughter Buu Diep (Alan Michelsen). He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
