She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Ronald W. King and Bernice Lambert King. She is survived by: her sister Julie King (Bronsell); her children, Kevin Platt and Kathryn Platt (Shepherd); and her grandchildren, Dillon Shepherd and Madeline Shepherd. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and other extended family.
