He was predeceased by: his wife Norma; his parents, Eugene and Marion; and his brothers, Jay and Charlie Varian.
He is survived by: his sister Lori Denniston; his children, Becky Varian and Kevin Varian (Ericka); his grandchildren, Jesicka Varian (Ambrose Little), Kendra Varian (Hunter Carlston), Kevin Varian (Jordyn) and Rae Gold (Paul); his stepsons, Todd Maas and Scott Maas (Jean); and his grandchildren, Jamie Lambert (Kyle), Jennifer Maas (Seth), Ashley Sobotta (Matt), Spencer Maas and Chandra Maas. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Humane Society in Walter's memory.
