He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Mason and Maria Sorensen Mason; his wife Marva Noreen Averett; and his children, Randall LaMar Mason, Russell Mason and Gayleen Williams.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vickie Gatherum (Steven), Kristine Brown (Craig), Sheila Wall (Steven) and Brenda Howard Mason. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.
