He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Grace Coombs; his parents, Marjorie Petersen and Moyle Petersen; his stepfather Clifford Todd; and his granddaughter Becky Fife.
He is survived by: his brother Ron Petersen (Marguerite); and his children, Patti Taylor (Terry), Anne Bright, Catherine Douglass (Craig), Joan Petersen and Michael Petersen (Connie). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren.
