She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Newman and Jennie Eastlyn Newman; her spouse Berny Gaarsoe; her children, Karen and Greg; her grandchildren, Alice and Ricky; her great grandchild Cody; and her siblings, Lynn, June and Janice.
She is survived by: her children, Berny and Kris; her sister Luana Hughes; her sister-in-law Donna Newman; and her daughters-in-law, Marj and Karen. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
