He was predeceased by: his parents, William Otto Nicholson and Sara Spencer; his former wife Cheryl Timmerman; his sister Novella Kay Nye; and his son-in-law Mikal Wersland.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Parduhn Oldroyd; his children, William Nicholson, Craig Nicholson (Jenene), Marshele Fatzinger (Robert), Lori Johnson (Scott), Scott, Jennice Wersland, Tyson Oldroyd (Mariah), Bret Nicholson (Laura), Corrine Oldroyd and Jodi Johnson (Neil); and his brother Roy Nicholson. He is also survived by his 37 grandchildren.
