He was predeceased by: his parents, Severn Stanley and Vera Labrum Smith; his former wife Carol Frisbee; his wife Janice Walker Smith; his siblings, Doug (Barbara), Phyllis (Norm Hammer), Shirley (John DeYoung) and Rhea (Ron Thurman); and his grandson Jonathan Poole.
He is survived by: his children, Craig Smith (Vickie), Deborah Poole (Douglas), Sandra Packer (Thomas), Gregory Smith (Susan), Brett Smith (Tamara), Mark Smith (Marilyn) and Nanette Sanders (Wayne); and his former wife Jeane Stillman Ashton.
