She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Hershel Ray Vandruff and Bertha E. Becher; her siblings, Ray, Patricia, Wilma and Doris; her close friend Elbert Archie Chapman; her children, Tom Chapman (Nina), Lorraine Rowzee (Michael), Bob Chapman (Linda) and Cynthia Tai (Maunaloa); and her spouse Pat Lara. She was also cherished by her 19 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Highland Stake Center (10227 4000 W, South Jordan, UT 84009). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Valley View Cemetery (4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, UT 84120).
She lived her testimony through quiet acts of service, kindness, and charity.
