He was predeceased by: his parents, Mart Bringhurst and Janice Bringhurst; and his father-in-law Lynn Houtz. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Houtz; his children, Phillip Bringhurst (Heather Gardner) of Spanish Fork, Candace Finch (Willie) of Cedar Hills and Mckel Barney (Mark) of Spanish Fork; and his siblings, Shonie Thompson, Kenny Bringhurst, Laurie Thorn and Rick Bringhurst. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Dixon spent the last ten years battling Alzheimer's.
