He was predeceased by: his parents, Admiral Jay Davis and Cevera Sowards; his wife Edna Grouns Davis; his sons, Eddie Davis (Hoot) and Dayl Shephard; his grandson Alexander Hebner; and his siblings, Raymond Davis, Clement Davis and Dorine Ercanbrack.
He is survived by: his children, Ginger Turner, Shawn Davis, Donna Weber, Mona Averett, Joyce Jackson, Wendell Shepard and Alma Kietzman; and his sisters, Collette Fackrell and Juanita Frei. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
