He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leslie Ernest and Mary Ellen Steers (Gill); his wife Greta; his children, Joanne Heister (Ken), Darren (Mai-Ly) and Luke; his sister Valerie Ashton (Geoff); his daughter Pamela Lesley Merrill; his grandson Britt Merrill; and his brother Leslie Ernest Steers. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
