He was predeceased by: his son Gary (Miriam Braun Gabbitas); and his wife Janice Freeman Gabbitas. He is survived by: his son Mark Gabbitas (Sharon); his stepdaughters, Lyn Gordacan, Lori Amsbury (Walter) and Kimberly Gordacan; and his siblings, Judy Kjar (Bruce) and Ted Gabbitas (Sandy). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
