She was predeceased by: her parents, John Philip Forbes and Ellen Boletta Anderson Forbes; her siblings, Maurine Echols, Ruth Forbes, ShirLee Wood, Myron Forbes, John "Jack" Forbes and Dean Forbes; and her children-in-law, Robyn Tucker Thurgood and Rickey A. Christensen.
She is survived by: her sister Carla McCann; and her children, Richard Thurgood (Jeany), John Thurgood (Charolette), Alan Thurgood (Barbara), Mary Ellen Christensen and Jeri Kay Waite (Jerry). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 1 great- great-grandchild, as well as a lot of loved nieces and nephews.
