It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Evelyn Harames Farnes (Syracuse, Utah), who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Bailey Harames and Paul Harames; her brothers, Dennis and Curt; and her brother-in-law Charles Shively.
She is survived by: her close friend Farrel; her daughters, Deb (Terry) and Denise (Josh); her grandchildren, Jake (Jordan), Jessica, Courtney (Brandon), Carson (Samantha), Holly (Tyler), Gracie (Beau) and Hunter (Savannah); her great grandchildren, Elsie, Lucas, Claire, Reid, Charleigh, Renner, Traven, Noah and Jamison; her siblings, Paul Harames (Sheryl) and JoAnn Shively; and her sister-in-law Mary Rawlins. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the LDS Center Ward Building (2228 S 1660 W, Syracuse, UT 84075).
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation to the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah, to commemorate the fantastic cancer care Mary received many years ago.
