She was predeceased by: her parents, Rachel Hermansen and Ellis LeRoy Andersen; her children, Jacqueline Olsen (John), Julie Ellis (Mike), Kipp Malmstrom and William Malmstrom; her husband Jack B. Malmstrom; her brothers, Howard, Donald and Richard; and her grandsons, Jason and Justin Leyba. She is also survived by her children, six grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
