He was predeceased by: his parents, Yoshiko Ruthenberg and Donald Ruthenberg; and his brothers-in-law, Sid Leilua and Howard Ama. He is survived by: his wife Terisa "Sia" Leilua Ruthenberg; his children, Noah Ruthenberg, Sophia Hawrey (Scott) and Joy Ticer (Bryce); his brother Andrew Ruthenberg; and his sibling's children, Marisol Ruthenberg, Tahnee Ruthenberg and Andy Jr..
