Violet Loertscher Obituary
We bid farewell to Violet Loertscher (Taylorsville, Utah), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 23, 2025 at the age of 87. Violet touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Rush Loertscher; her daughter Cynthia Loertscher Peterson McCorkindale; her son-in-law Robert Mearle Marsh; her granddaughter Ruth Evi Loertscher; her parents, Joseph Olpin (Svea Emerensia Violet Larsson Olpin) and Violet Olpin; and her siblings, Ted Olpin (Nancy), Inazelle Knight (George), Mary Wasden (Bruce), Betty Coleman (Lowell), Guy Olpin (Shirley) and Audrey Haight.
She is survived by: her children, Terri Marsh, Patricia Ransom (Gary), Pauline Preston (Eli), Dorothy Ashton (Layne), Katrina Mills (Steven), Dee Loertscher (Penny), Pamela Muir (Troy), Craig Loertscher (Susan), Thad Loertscher (Heather) and Chreslie Thorup (Duane); her sisters, Clara Snell (George) and June Anderson (Hardy); her siblings-in-law, Joan Wasden and Richard Haight; and also Robert "Corky" McCorkindale. She is also survived by her grandchildren and their spouses; 47 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Granger West Stake Center (3901 2925 S, West Valley City, UT 84120). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at 3:00 PM at the same location.
