He was predeceased by: his children, Jody R. Hildreth and Angel L. Hildreth; his granddaughter Vanessa Stam; and his parents, Ernie A. Hildreth and Melba E. Cole.

He is survived by: his children, Michael E. Hildreth Jr. and Kristal Washburn (John); and his grandchildren, Myndi Sandberg, Zachary Hildreth, Brooke Hildreth, Jayde Washburn and Drew Washburn. He is also survived by 10 great- grandchildren.
