She was predeceased by: her parents, Farrell Slaugh and Goldie Victoria Kimball (Vicky); and her brother Durrell Slaugh (Roy). She is survived by: her former husband William Gates (Bill); her grandson William Gates; her daughter Breann Laraie Brewer; her sister Cliftia Johnson; her children, Neisha Heidelberg and William Gates; and her grandchildren, Victoria, Lorelei and Thomas Heidelberg (Tommy).
