He was predeceased by: his parents, William Holmes and Emma Holmes (Olsen); and his siblings, Barbara Caldwell, Lorraine Slaugh, Don Holmes, Duane "Duke" Holmes, Glade Holmes and Glen Holmes.
He is survived by: his wife Marian Holmes (Dudley); his children, Laurie Kremin (Bill) and Allan Holmes (Linda); and his brother Lyle "Whitey" Holmes. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
