She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred; and her daughter Colleen Carpenter. She is survived by: her parents, Michael McCarthy and Annie Irene McAllister McCarthy; and her children, Merlin Searle (Peggy), Carla Berky (John) of Ogden, Carolynn Beach and Cleora Searle. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
