He was predeceased by: his parents, Simeon Öquist and Anna Öquist; and his siblings, Rosie, Sigurd, Georg, Nils, Åke, Klas, Erik and Albert.
He is survived by: his wife Kerstin; his children, Christine, Lars and Nils (Shannon); his sister Anna Lisa; his grandchildren, Annika, Brenden, Katie, Angelina and Alicia; and also Anna.
