He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Berry and Fanny Berry. He is survived by: his wife Pam; his children, Dawn Crown (John), Pam Joaquin (George), Teresa Laing (Robert James), Debbie and Brian (Jami); his grandchildren, Racheal, Austin, Nicole, Ben, Robert James Jr., Donna, Jesse, Mackenzie, Melissa, Emma, Thomas, Brooklyn, Abbigail and Ephraim; and also Edelweiss. He is also survived by his seven brothers and four sisters.
