It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Rodes Toms of Afton, Virginia, who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Kemper Alden Rodes and Stella Rodes (Duncan) of Afton, VA.; her husband James Orville Toms, Sr.; and her siblings, Erline Rodes Spell, Alden Rodes and Philip Rodes.

She is survived by : her children, Greg Toms (Kathy) of Fishersville, James O. Toms, Jr. (Ann) of Troy, VA and Carolyn Toms Montgomery (late Don) of Waynesboro, VA; and her grandchildren, Bryan Zimmerman (Denise) of Waynesboro, VA, James O. Toms, III (Amy) of White Post, VA and Lanora Clarridge (Ian) of Ashburn, VA. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
