He was predeceased by : his wife Helen Owen (Feagans); his son James M. Owen; his grandson Corey Owen; and his siblings, Shirley Ramey, Joyce Scott, Mary Simpson and Samuel Owen.

He is survived by : his child Thomas F. Owen (Kathy); his grandchildren, Hunter Owen (Nicole) and Palmer Owen (Kellie); his great grandchildren, Ella Owen and Bennett Owen; and his sister Margaret West (late Donald).
