He was predeceased by : his parents, Golden C. Bowes Sr. and Jenny Bett Vicks Bowes; his wife Helen Alease Satterfield Bowes; and his siblings, Lessie Bowes, Edith Bowes, Doris Smith, Margie Wilburn, Ellen Hall, Mary Alice Bowes, James Bowes, Roy Bowes and Jesse Cornelius Bowes, Sr..

He is survived by : his children, Jenny Sisk (Donnie) and Brett Bowes (Becky); his caregivers, Phillip, Edith and Terri Coleman; and also, Stuart and Debra Pulliam.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Bowes Family Cemetery (1028 Mt Carmel Rd, Alton, VA 24520).
