She was predeceased by: her husband Albert Sidney Maxey. She is survived by: her children, Randy Maxey (Elaine), Gregory Maxey (Tammy) and Amy Maxey; and her grandsons, Justin Maxey (Jen) and Kevin Maxey (Jami). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hillsman-HIX Funeral Home and Cremation Service (16409 Court St, Amelia Court House, VA 23002). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rennie Memorial Presbyterian Church (6720 Dennisville Rd, Amelia Court House, VA 23002). A burial was held on Sunday, May 4th 2025.
