She was predeceased by: her husband James Edward "Jimmy" Parr; her parents, Forest Edward Sale and Nell Campbell Sale; her siblings, Mildred Sharman (O. C.) and Ralph Sale; and her daughter-in-law Gwendolyn Gunter Parr.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Parr and Susan Parr Bailey (Steve) of Amherst; her grandchildren, Betsy Bailey Campbell (Rob) of Amherst, Caroline Bailey of Knoxville, TN, Kendall Parr (Beth) of Amherst, Mary Kate Bailey of Winchester and Brittani Parr Thacker (Lane) of Amherst; her great grandchildren, Layne Parr, Grayson Parr, Adelaide Campbell, Lacey Parr, Daylon Thacker and Kelsey Brynn Campbell; her sister Geneva Watts (Bud) of Pleasant View; and her sister-in-law Jackie Sale of Amherst. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church (650 Thrashers Creek Rd, Amherst, VA 24521). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
