He was predeceased by : his parents, Samuel C. Worley and Mary Worley; his sister Evelyn Petterson; his great grandchildren, Jeffery Allen and Teresa Lynn; and his close friend Vincent Baker.
He is survived by : his wife Lydia Worley; his children, Bobby Ray Worley (Regina) of Appalachia, James Ray Worley of Appalachia, Mary Lewis of Bluff City, TN, Sandy Barton (Mike) of Crackers Neck, VA and Mona Rollins; his grandchildren, Anthony, Bobby Joe, Brittany, George and Trey; his great grandchildren, Christian, Carter, Raelyn, Parker, Somaya, Grayer and Phoenix; his cousin Anna Lee Smith (Roy); and his close friend Larry Van Dyke. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and government restrictions, services will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Appalachia Fire Department in the memory of Ray Worley.
